Summary

During the Product Development Meeting focused on multi-merchant onboarding, key topics included ongoing internet connectivity issues faced by Raymond, prompting a search for alternative service providers. The team discussed the current merchant onboarding process, where merchants fill out a singular form for account creation, and proposed a future update to allow connections to external merchant accounts. System architecture was reviewed, outlining the current and planned states, with distinctions among tenants, merchants, and gateways. A decision was made regarding the design of the “Connect” feature, opting to streamline the user interface by removing the ‘Create new’ button and focusing solely on ‘Connect’ while emphasizing the need for a specific merchant ID. Additional discussions covered the capabilities for renaming integrations and gateway statuses, with plans to revisit these topics following an API change campaign. Action items were assigned to Nathan for mockup creation, and to Nader for further understanding of gateway identification, while asynchronous UI implementation work was planned.
