Description

Design the architecture and plan efforts to transform merchant onboarding from manual form-filling to intelligent document processing where partners can paste any combination of text, emails, documents, and files to automatically generate complete merchant applications with pre-filled data.

Core Functionality:

• User can paste unlimited text (emails, call notes, conversations)
• User can upload multiple documents (PDFs, images, bank statements, tax returns)
• System creates PayEngine merchant
• System classifies documents into PayEngine categories and uploads documents to correct document types
• Handle document processing failures gracefully
• System extracts information from each doc
• System extracts and pre-fills application fields and saves as first draft
• User receives pre-filled application with highlighted fields that are filled by AI
• Validate extraction accuracy across document variations and test error handling for corrupted/invalid files

AC:

• A confluence page is created describing the design and outlining tickets to be created.
• Decide if we need convertapi or N8N workflows at all.
